Just a reminder to all our boaters to practice man over board drills!  Prior to departing
for the Bahamas, we decided to practice anchoring out with our Australian Shepherd (Buddy)
since several nights of anchoring are required to get to the Abacos.

While Practicing Buddy decided to jump ship and swim after the dinghy.

We learned that the First Mate can not pull a 60 pound frightened dog on board.  We were
unprepared and Buddy was not trained for entering the boat from the water.  Buddy is fine
but needless to say we all learned from the experience.   Our overboard procedures
now include "dog overboard drills".
